Slush Cup

Bob and I went to Alyeska for some spring Skiing.  The gray on the slopes is the Ash from Redoubt as it starts to re-appear.  After our skiing we enjoyed some of the festivities at the Slush cup where folks attempt to ski or board across the pool of water.  Some actually make it.  Most are content to splash the Gov.

From Temecula to Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree NM last wkd.

From Anchorage to Temecula, CA

This past wkd Db and I flew down to San Diego then drove out to Temecula, Ca which is about an hour NE of San Diego.  We were there to attend one of Deb’s friends wedding which was held at a winery.  Temecula sits right on the San Andreas Fault and is considered wine country.  On our first day we went for a hike around Diamond Valley Reservoir which is a man made lake surrounded by dams.  Its comprised of Colorado River Water that is pumped from Arizona to here and stored and evaporated for the use of San Diego County.  We enjoyed perfectly sunny days all four days we were there with temps starting in the 70’s and rising to the 80’s by the end of the wkd.
This set includes part of our flight down, our hike around the lake, and a few of us and our friends Dan and Barb from Colo at the wedding which was held at one of the many wineries.  t is flower season but apparently CA has been experiencing a big drought lately.
More to come!
